Amsterdam, 30 September 2025 – Photon Capital is pleased to announce the successful first close of its second fund, Photon II. With this fund, Photon continues to build on its deep sector expertise in the broader digital landscape. Photon II targets technical enablers of datacenter operations, network and connectivity platforms, cloud infrastructure, and adjacent businesses that support the wider digital ecosystem. Photon’s focus aligns with growing demand for digital solutions, as data consumption and connectivity requirements continue to accelerate. The fund focuses on companies with up to €5 million in EBITDA and strong potential for international growth, professionalisation, and consolidation.

Backed by more than a decade of experience investing in these sectors, the Photon team has built a trusted European network of industry partners, executives, and advisors. This network provides a solid foundation for the next generation of investments and enables Photon to act quickly, access proprietary opportunities, and support companies in long-term value creation.

The first close received strong support from both existing and new investors and includes capital for the acquisition of OctoNona, a fast-growing datacenter connectivity platform delivering high-performance IP transit and interconnection services across datacenters, supporting critical data flows between cloud platforms, carriers, and enterprises. Photon II plans a subsequent closing later this year to capture a robust pipeline of opportunities.
