Symposium ‘Licht tussen kunst, wetenschap en technologie’ op 30 januari

Het symposium start met een bezoek aan de tentoonstelling Lightopia in het Gentse Design Museum. Deze expo brengt de (r)evolutie met lichtdesign uit de werelden van design, kunst, architectuur en wetenschap in beeld. Zo presenteert Lightopia niet minder dan 300 lichtobjecten. Voor het eerst toont Vitra Design Museum ontwerpen van befaamde designers als Wilhelm Wagenfeld, Achille Castiglioni, Gino Sarfatti en Ingo Maurer.

Het symposium ‘Licht tussen kunst, wetenschap en technologie’ gaat vervolgens verder in Het Pand, het cultuur-en congrescentrum van de Universiteit Gent. Vanaf 11 uur zullen verschillende projecten toegelicht worden die met licht te maken hebben. Zo komen aan bod:

• Professor Kathy Steppe: “Light dance of the chlorophyll”
• Professor Roel Baets: “… And then there was more light”
