NETGEAR wint prestigieuze Red Dot Design Award voor AirCard 815S Wi-Fi Hotspot

Gouda, 13 juli 2016 – NETGEAR®, Inc. heeft een Red Dot Award gewonnen voor de AirCard® 815S mobiele hotspot (AC815S). De prestigieuze Red Dot Award wordt in verscheidene industrieën beschouwd als één van de belangrijkste designprijzen. De winnaars worden jaarlijks door een internationale jury gekozen uit een reeks producten die zich met hun excellente ontwerp van de concurrentie onderscheiden. Dit jaar dong een recordaantal van 5200 inzendingen uit 57 landen mee naar het Red Dot: Product Design-keurmerk. Dit werd aan een select aantal producten toegekend op het Red Dot Gala in het Duitse Essen. De winnende producten zullen worden tentoongesteld in de Red Dot Design-musea in Essen, Singapore en Taipei.

De mobiele hotspot is stof-, water- en schokbestendig, en daardoor uitstekend geschikt voor intensief dagelijks gebruik. Met de geavanceerde instelopties blokkeren ouders heel eenvoudig websites. Daarnaast is er de mogelijkheid tot het instellen van een wifinetwerk voor gasten, dat na verloop van een instelbare tijd automatisch gebruikers ontkoppelt. Met één klik kunnen gebruikers bovendien hun 4G-verbinding delen met tot wel vijftien laptops, tablets, smartphones, digitale camera’s, gameconsoles en andere apparaten die wifi ondersteunen. Met de hotspot kan ook geroamd worden in het buitenland.
