usedSoft sponsort darts-professional Vincent van der Voort

De Europese handelsonderneming in gebruikte software usedSoft is de nieuwe sponsor van de darts-professional Vincent van der Voort. Vanaf vandaag neemt de Nederlandse darter deel aan het tweede „Super Series“-toernooi van de dartsorganisatie PDC in het Britse Milton Keynes (16 t/m 19 maart 2021).

„Vincent van der Voort is niet alleen trefzeker, maar houdt ook in moeilijke situaties het hoofd koel“, aldus usedSoft-directeur Peter Schneider. „Daarom is hij een prachtige aanvulling voor ons dartsteam. Juist voor nichesporten is ondersteuning momenteel erg belangrijk, want veel sporters hebben het in de huidige coronasituatie niet gemakkelijk.“ usedSoft ondersteunt naast Van der Voort nog twee andere spelers in de dartssport. Sinds december 2020 is het bedrijf partner van de drievoudige wereldkampioen Michael van Gerwen. Al sinds begin 2020 zet usedSoft zich bovendien in voor Fallon Sherrock. De Britse schreef in 2019 geschiedenis, toen het haar als eerste vrouw lukte om bij een wereldkampioenschap een wedstrijd te winnen.

Van der Voort staat momenteel op de 26e plaats van de dartswereldranglijst. Sinds 2007 heeft hij een contract bij de bekendste dartsorganisatie Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). De speler met de bijnaam „The Dutch Destroyer“ heeft tot nu toe 14 deelnames aan de PDC-wereldkampioenschappen op zijn naam en veroverde al diverse titels bij internationale toernooien. In Nederland is hij bovendien actief als tv-presentator bij darts-events.
